I found this artist in a friend‘s list with top albums, which he composed for the Pitchfork People’s List. The 200 albums in the ultimate Pitchfork People’s List are less surprising than my friend’s top 50. Take a look and get some inspiration!

One of the artists I discovered in Louren’s list was Paavoharju, a experimental group from Finland. Their sound fits in the freak folk genre, but is way more relaxed and comforting than one would expect.

Paavoharju – Valo Tihkuu Kaiken Läpi

It’s not songs they make – Paavoharju composes paintings you can listen to.

Paavoharju – Kevätrumpu

So far, Paavoharju released two albums: Yhä Hämärää (2005) and Laulu Laakson Kukista (2008).
